About the role
The Center for International Law and Policy in Africa (CILPA) is offering in‑person internships in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Interns will support the think‑tank’s research, communications, program delivery and operational activities while gaining hands‑on experience in international and regional law.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct legal, academic and policy research and draft related documents.
- Assist with grant mapping, application preparation and database compilation.
- Support event organization and logistics.
- Manage and update CILPA’s social‑media channels.
- Provide administrative support to line managers and, for high‑performing interns, to the Founding Director.
Required profile
- Strong academic background with excellent analytical and writing abilities.
- Early‑career professional or recent graduate, regardless of field of study.
- Willingness to work on‑site in Freetown for a minimum of three months starting 1 October 2026.
- Personal laptop or computer for daily tasks.
