Programme Intern – International Development & Inclusion

About the role

Sightsavers is seeking a Programme Intern to join its Sierra Leone Country Office in Freetown for a 15‑month structured learning placement. The role offers practical exposure to programme administration, partner coordination, monitoring, reporting, inclusive practice, logistics and documentation, while developing professional workplace skills.

Key responsibilities

• Support programme administration, partner coordination, monitoring and reporting activities.
• Assist with inclusive practice, logistics, and documentation for projects.
• Contribute to data collection, analysis and preparation of reports.
• Provide administrative support to senior programme staff and help maintain project files.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or individual with relevant volunteer, community, research or administrative experience.
• Strong interest in international development, disability inclusion and programme work.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Motivation to learn, receive feedback and contribute in a multicultural environment.
