Risk, Governance and Compliance Manager

About the role
We are seeking a Risk, Governance and Compliance Manager to lead the development and implementation of our risk management programme in Sierra Leone. Reporting to the National Director, you will work closely with senior management, the Advisory Council and auditors to protect the organisation’s assets and ensure compliance with our mission.
Key responsibilities
- Provide professional leadership to design and implement the organisation’s risk management programme.
- Facilitate risk assessments across all departments and maintain a comprehensive Risk Register.
- Prepare quarterly presentations, minutes and logistics for the Advisory Council.
- Support continuous improvement of internal controls and systems.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors, legal counsel and security officers on investigations and asset recovery.
- Conduct special investigations, follow‑up on tips, whistle‑blower reports and audit recommendations.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Rural Development, Social Science or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive responsibility in relief and development programmes, including at least 5 years of field experience.
- Strong commitment to Christian values and willingness to support the organisation’s mission.
Required skills
- Advanced ICT skills.
- Proficiency with reporting software.
