Learning and Scaling Lead (Sierra Leone)

About the role

The successful candidate will contribute to innovative outcomes funds, transforming how education and skills are financed and delivered. Based in Freetown, the role works within the Education Outcomes Fund (EOF) team, supported by the UNOPS Global Portfolios Office, to drive large‑scale systems change in Sierra Leone.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of innovative outcomes‑based financing mechanisms for education.
• Support the transformation of education and skills delivery through scaling initiatives.
• Collaborate with UNOPS, government partners and international stakeholders to advance programme objectives.
• Work within a mission‑driven, high‑performing team to achieve measurable impact.
• Monitor and report on programme performance in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with experience in education programmes, financing or scaling.
• Familiarity with outcomes‑based funding models and the 2030 Agenda.
• Ability to operate in multi‑regional initiatives and coordinate with diverse partners.
