Human Resources and Administration Coordinator

About the role

The Human Resources and Administration Coordinator supports the Senior HR/Administration Manager in delivering HR and admin services across the country office. The role focuses on timely recruitment, onboarding, policy guidance and employee relations while providing on‑site support to field offices.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and updating HR strategy, policies, the HR manual and the organisational chart.
• Support line managers with job description reviews, job evaluation, salary reviews and recruitment advertising.
• Coordinate the full recruitment cycle, ensuring compliance with Safer Recruitment practices and conducting inductions.
• Maintain recruitment agency database and track recruitment metrics.
• Provide HR advice on performance management, disciplinary processes and employee relations.
• Travel to field offices (≈30% of time) to monitor HR compliance and promote best practices.
• Adapt working hours during major humanitarian emergencies to support response efforts.

Required profile

• Relevant HR or administration qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in recruitment, onboarding and HR policy implementation.
• Ability to travel regularly within the country and work under emergency conditions.
• Level 3 Child Safeguarding clearance (regular contact with children/young people).
