Local Project Officer – Administration & Logistics (BECS Programme)

About the role

The Business Environment and Competitiveness for Salone (BECS) Programme is seeking a motivated Local Project Officer to provide cross‑cutting operational, logistical and administrative support. The role ensures smooth delivery of project activities, from procurement to event coordination, in line with EU regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily office operations, correspondence, scheduling and filing for national and international experts.
• Support procurement of goods and services, prepare purchase orders, maintain vendor records and track office assets.
• Organise local and international travel, including flights, visas, hotels and field mission logistics.
• Assist in planning workshops, trainings and round‑tables, ensuring EU branding compliance.
• Provide financial support such as petty‑cash management, monthly cash notes, document collection and timesheet tracking.
• Conduct basic research, aid report drafting and ensure proper documentation filing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Logistics, Procurement or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in administrative, logistics or procurement roles, preferably in donor‑funded projects.
• Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of Krio or local languages is a plus.
• Strong organisational, discretion, time‑management and proactive problem‑solving abilities.
