Programme Development and Quality Director

About the role

The Programme Development and Quality Director will lead the strategic planning, implementation and monitoring of Save the Children’s Country Strategic Plan in Sierra Leone. This senior position ensures cross‑functional collaboration and drives the design of high‑quality, evidence‑based programmes that improve outcomes for children.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the development, implementation and monitoring of the Country Strategic Plan.
• Lead annual planning cycles, set targets and track progress against results.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment of programme activities with strategic objectives.
• Oversee data collection, analysis and reporting to inform decision‑making and demonstrate impact.
• Ensure programmes are innovative, evidence‑based and meet Save the Children’s global breakthrough goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in programme development, monitoring and evaluation within an international development or humanitarian context.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and partners.
• Commitment to child rights and improving child outcomes.
