Space Applications Expert, Earth Observation & Copernicus

About the role

NTU International is seeking a senior Space Applications Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme. The role focuses on developing, deploying and promoting Earth Observation services and applications that leverage Copernicus data to address climate, environmental and development challenges across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver EO services and applications in sectors such as early‑warning, climate monitoring, agriculture, water management and biodiversity.
• Facilitate the uptake of Copernicus products by African institutions, NGOs and private‑sector partners.
• Provide technical guidance and capacity‑building to local stakeholders.
• Contribute to proposal development and knowledge‑exchange activities within the AESPP Boost project.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services or climate/environmental applications.
• Minimum 4 years of experience designing EO services using Copernicus data.
• Experience working with African institutions or facilitating user uptake is an asset.
• Excellent command of English; knowledge of French or Portuguese is a plus.
