Technical Health and Nutrition Program Manager

About the role

The Health & Nutrition Programme Manager provides strategic leadership and technical direction for World Vision International Sierra Leone’s health and nutrition portfolio. The role oversees design, implementation, quality assurance, monitoring, evaluation and resource mobilisation to improve maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health outcomes across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and review of the national health & nutrition technical strategy, ensuring alignment with national priorities, World Vision standards and donor requirements.
• Provide technical oversight to Area Programme Managers and partners, guiding programme design, implementation plans, budgets and procurement.
• Establish and maintain a MEAL framework, support data collection, analysis and learning to adapt programmes and report to donors.
• Drive resource mobilisation by contributing to concept notes, proposals, grant acquisition and donor reporting.
• Represent World Vision in government forums, UN agencies, NGOs and technical working groups, influencing policy and fostering partnerships.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Health Sciences, International Development or a related field (or a relevant bachelor’s degree with substantial experience).
• Professional certification or specialised training in health, nutrition or programme management is desirable.
