Technical Manager – Faith and Community Initiative

About the role

The Faith and Community Initiative (FCI) seeks a Technical Manager to lead the implementation of its integrated service‑delivery model in Sierra Leone. Reporting to the Country Project Manager and Global Technical Director, the role ensures that the country programme aligns with global technical strategy, national policies, and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall technical direction for the FCI country programme, adapting global standards, tools and protocols to the Sierra Leone context.
• Oversee planning, implementation and coordination of HIV, TB, malaria, maternal and child health, and nutrition services across government facilities, Christian Health Associations and other faith‑based health facilities.
• Ensure technical compliance with FCI global policies, Ministry of Health guidelines, and donor expectations.
• Strengthen referral systems, continuity of care and service quality throughout the network of partners.
• Maintain and develop technical relationships with the Ministry of Health, District Health Management Teams, CHAs and other faith‑based organisations.
• Represent FCI in national and sub‑national technical forums and coordinate with the U.S. Embassy as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical leadership for health programmes, preferably in low‑resource settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with ministries of health and faith‑based health networks.
• Strong understanding of integrated service delivery for HIV, TB, malaria, maternal‑child health and nutrition.
• Capacity to adapt global technical frameworks to national policies and donor requirements.
