User Growth Regional Lead

About the role

Wave is looking for a User Growth Regional Lead to drive the expansion of its cashless financial services across Sierra Leone. You will lead distribution activities, grow the user base and ensure high active usage of money transfers and bill payments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of supervisors and team leads who oversee field‑based distributors recruiting new users.
• Identify and resolve critical blockers to user growth and maintain active usage of Wave’s products.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve retention of newly acquired users.
• Hire, train and scale the distribution team, building systems for rapid expansion.
• Create and follow a quarterly roadmap for the distribution team to meet key objectives.
• Use data to inform distribution strategies and monitor team performance.
• Collaborate with the agency team to align objectives and operationalize plans.
• Share insights to shape Wave’s overall distribution strategy.
• Lead by embodying Wave’s values and fostering a strong team culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading distribution or field teams in a fast‑growing environment.
• Strong ability to identify growth blockers and implement data‑driven solutions.
• Experience in hiring, training and managing staff.
• Track record of driving user acquisition and retention.
• Work authorization in Sierra Leone and willingness to relocate within the region.
