About the role
Wave is expanding its fintech footprint across West Africa and seeks a Business Development Manager to drive partnership growth in Sierra Leone. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will act as the liaison between external organisations and internal product, finance, compliance and legal teams.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, research and acquire strategic partners such as the Central Bank, commercial banks, micro‑finance institutions, telecom operators and international remittance providers.
- Negotiate and execute partnership agreements, ensuring service level commitments are met.
- Produce regular performance reports and presentations for partners and internal stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication across product, finance, distribution, compliance and legal teams to support partner onboarding and ongoing collaboration.
- Adapt partnership strategy as Wave’s product roadmap evolves and market needs change.
Required profile
- Resourceful, organised and proactive with a strong track record in business development or partnership management.
- Excellent research and networking abilities to uncover high‑value partnership opportunities.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to produce clear, data‑driven reports.
- Effective communicator capable of bridging external and internal teams.
