Communications Manager – Sierra Leone

About the role

Partners In Health is seeking a creative, self‑directed professional to lead and grow its communications program in Sierra Leone. The Communications Manager will shape and execute a strategy that highlights PIH’s mission, achievements, brand, and human stories, while building awareness and support across local and global audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and expand the communications program for PIH in Sierra Leone.
• Develop and implement a communications strategy to raise awareness and support for PIH’s mission.
• Produce and oversee content showcasing PIH’s achievements, brand, and human stories.
• Manage a team of multimedia specialists, a graphic designer, and a communications associate.
• Coordinate with internal partners and external stakeholders, including travel to Kono and Freetown.

Required profile

• Creative, self‑directed professional with a commitment to social justice.
• Experience in communications, advocacy, or public relations, preferably in the health or nonprofit sector.
• Proven ability to lead a small team and manage multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% between Kono and Freetown.
