Design Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Coordinator

About the role

The Design Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (DMEAL) Coordinator will support the effective implementation of DMEAL activities at both project and cluster levels. Working closely with the DMEAL Specialist, Technical Leads and programme staff, the role ensures compliance with standards, strengthens data quality and promotes evidence‑based programme improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support clusters and programme teams in coordinating assessments, designing and redesigning programmes using the Adaptive Programme Approach (APA) and other partnership guidelines.
• Collaborate with DMEAL managers and technical leads to develop multi‑year plans that align with national strategies and Integrated Programme Frameworks.
• Facilitate participatory consultations with communities, staff and partners during planning cycles, including Annual Community Planning and Review meetings.
• Assist in grant and Private Non‑Sponsorship (PNS) project design, proposal development, start‑up, annual planning and budgeting, ensuring alignment with DMEAL standards.
• Conduct regular field monitoring visits, track implementation of recommendations and support Annual Impact Measurement Plus (AIM+) processes.
• Develop, review and validate baseline and evaluation methodologies, tools and data collection instruments.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary education in international development, monitoring & evaluation, public health or a related field.
• Proven experience in programme design, monitoring, evaluation and data management within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multi‑disciplinary teams and external partners.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience translating data into actionable programme improvements.
