Finance and Compliance Coordinator

About the role

The Finance and Compliance Coordinator supports the Country Office’s accounting, financial reporting and compliance processes, ensuring data integrity, timely reporting and adherence to AVSI procedures, donor requirements and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the correct use of the NAVISION accounting system and optimise its implementation.
• Coordinate monthly, semi‑annual and annual closing processes, bank reconciliations and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, budget monitoring tools and donor reports.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of donor and regulatory requirements and support internal and external audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.

Required profile

• University degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting, finance or compliance, preferably in NGOs or donor‑funded projects.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with NAVISION / Microsoft Dynamics NAV accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Fluent written and spoken English; French is a plus.
