Funded Traineeship in EU Delegation – Sierra Leone

About the role
We are offering a funded traineeship of up to six months within the Political, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation in Sierra Leone. The placement is designed for recent graduates who want to gain hands‑on experience in diplomatic work, public diplomacy and media communication.
Key responsibilities
- Draft the daily press review and prepare press releases for the Delegation.
- Update the Delegation’s website and manage its social‑media channels.
- Support the Political Section with socio‑political research and analysis of local and regional developments.
- Contribute to political, trade and economic analyses and to public‑diplomacy activities.
- Assist in organising and participating in meetings, seminars, conferences and other events hosted by the EU Delegation.
Required profile
- Citizenship of Sierra Leone.
- At least a B.A. degree in Law, Social Sciences, Political Sciences or Journalism.
- Less than one year of professional experience after graduation.
