Infrastructure Project Manager

About the role

The Infrastructure Project Manager will lead the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of healthcare facilities and related WASH systems in Kono District, Sierra Leone. Reporting to the Infrastructure Lead, the role ensures projects meet schedule, budget, safety, quality, and infection‑prevention standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to multidisciplinary project teams throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Supervise, mentor and support project staff, strengthening technical capacity and performance.
• Coordinate daily operations, assign responsibilities, monitor deliverables and ensure efficient implementation.
• Lead architectural, civil, structural, MEP, biomedical, environmental health and IPC coordination.
• Serve as primary liaison with PIH, Ministry of Health, district authorities, consultants, contractors, donors and community stakeholders.
• Oversee engineering design and planning of building infrastructure, water abstraction, treatment, storage, distribution and wastewater systems.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, regulatory requirements and operational sustainability objectives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience managing healthcare infrastructure or large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, WASH systems and infection‑prevention requirements.
• Ability to work closely with clinical teams, government ministries and international donors.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Partners in Health.
