IT Officer

About the role

Partners In Health (PIH) is seeking a dynamic IT Officer to support daily IT operations across its facilities in Freetown, including Lakka Government Hospital, Kissy Psychiatric Hospital and KGH. The role works closely with the Senior IT Officer and IT Manager to ensure reliable network and computer systems for health‑care delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support to end users, assisting with access to services and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues affecting multiple users.
• Install, configure, maintain, and repair network infrastructure, computers and related equipment.
• Coordinate deployment of new technologies and applications in collaboration with the IT team.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets.
• Identify and escalate complex issues that require higher‑level intervention.

Required profile

• Professional, proactive attitude with the ability to work in a fast‑paced health‑care environment.
• Experience supporting end‑users and managing network and hardware resources.
• Strong communication skills to interact with staff across multiple hospitals.
