Processing Operations Superintendent – Greenfield Gold Mine

About the role

FG Gold Limited is developing the Baomahun Gold concession in Sierra Leone and seeks a Processing Operations Superintendent to lead the greenfield processing plant from construction through to steady‑state production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all processing plant operations across crushing, grinding, gravity, flotation, CIL/CIP, elution, carbon regeneration, tailings and reagent circuits.
• Develop and implement operating procedures, manning plans, performance standards and shift rosters.
• Oversee commissioning, start‑up, ramp‑up and transition to full production, ensuring operational readiness milestones are met.
• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly throughput, recovery and grade; analyse performance data and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate closely with Maintenance to maximise equipment availability and minimise unplanned downtime.
• Assist in preparing the annual operations budget, track operating costs and identify cost‑saving opportunities.

Required profile

• Qualified individual with extensive experience leading processing plant operations during construction, commissioning and operational phases.
• Proven ability to manage large‑scale gold processing circuits and achieve throughput, recovery and production targets.
• Strong background in developing SOPs, operating philosophies and shift structures.
• Experience monitoring budgets, controlling power, water and reagent consumption.
