Programme Analyst – Women Peace, Security & Humanitarian Action

About the role
The Programme Analyst will support UN Women’s mission in Sierra Leone by contributing to the design, implementation and evaluation of programmes that promote women’s participation in peace, security and humanitarian action. Reporting to the Head of Office, the role ensures that programme results are monitored and that systems and procedures are applied effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute technically to the development of programme strategies in women, peace, security and humanitarian action.
- Provide substantive inputs to the design and formulation of programme and project proposals.
- Identify priority areas for support and intervention related to the programme.
- Offer technical support to the implementation and management of programmes, ensuring compliance with UN Women standards.
- Monitor results achieved during implementation and recommend enhancements where needed.
- Collaborate closely with the programme and operations team, UN Women headquarters, government officials, donors and civil‑society partners.
Required profile
- Experience working on women, peace and security or humanitarian programmes.
- Ability to work in close collaboration with multi‑stakeholder teams.
- Strong understanding of UN Women frameworks such as UNSCR 1325 and related resolutions.
