Project Manager - Women's Land for Peace

About the role

Christian Aid is seeking a Project Manager to lead the Women’s Land for Peace initiative in Sierra Leone. This fixed‑term position will oversee the design, implementation, and monitoring of activities that promote land rights, peacebuilding, and women’s empowerment over a five‑month period.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage project activities in line with the programme’s objectives and timelines.
• Engage with local communities, government bodies and partner organisations to ensure inclusive participation.
• Monitor progress, track budgets and produce regular reports for donors and senior management.
• Facilitate capacity‑building workshops for women on land ownership, conflict resolution and sustainable livelihoods.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree (e.g., Development Studies, Gender Studies, Environmental Management).
• Proven experience in project or programme management, preferably in peacebuilding, land rights or gender‑focused initiatives.
• Strong understanding of the socio‑political context of Sierra Leone or similar settings.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder‑engagement and reporting skills.
