Senior Finance Manager

About the role

Our client, a leading agribusiness operating across Africa, is seeking a Senior Finance Manager on a six‑month interim contract to support a key business transformation. The role will sit within the finance leadership team and partner closely with supply‑chain, manufacturing, procurement, logistics and planning functions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as finance business partner to supply‑chain and manufacturing leadership, providing financial insight for strategic decisions.
• Lead cost accounting, month‑end close, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for supply‑chain operations.
• Deliver accurate gross‑margin and financial performance reporting to local and group stakeholders.
• Drive cost‑reduction and efficiency initiatives, monitor inventory, fixed assets, capital expenditure and purchase‑price variances.
• Develop financial models and performance metrics to support operational improvements and major capital projects.
• Maintain and strengthen the financial controls framework, ensuring compliance with finance policies and global standards.
• Coach and develop finance teams, fostering cross‑functional collaboration and a culture of accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CPA) highly desirable.
• 10–15 years of progressive finance experience in FMCG, manufacturing, agriculture or similar operational environments.
• Proven experience in supply‑chain, manufacturing or agribusiness finance.
