Technical Health and Nutrition Program Manager

About the role

The Health & Nutrition Programme Manager provides strategic leadership and technical direction for World Vision International Sierra Leone’s health and nutrition portfolio. The role drives evidence‑based programming to improve maternal, newborn, child, adolescent and community health outcomes while ensuring alignment with national priorities and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation and quality assurance of the national health and nutrition technical strategy, ensuring alignment with World Vision standards and donor frameworks.
• Provide technical oversight to area programme managers and partners, guiding programme design, budgeting, monitoring, and risk mitigation.
• Oversee MEAL frameworks, data collection and analysis, and facilitate learning forums to improve programme effectiveness.
• Engage donors, government agencies and development partners to secure resources, represent the organisation, and influence policy on health and nutrition issues.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Community Health, Nutrition, Health Sciences, International Development or a related discipline.
• Significant professional experience in health and nutrition programme management, including technical leadership, monitoring & evaluation, and resource mobilisation.

Required skills

• Technical expertise in maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health, nutrition and health‑system strengthening.
• Proven ability to design, budget, and report on large‑scale health programmes and to work with donors and government stakeholders.
