About the role
The Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Manager will design, implement and oversee the country‑level MEL system for the Faith and Community Initiative (FCI) program in Sierra Leone. Reporting to the Country Project Manager and Technical Manager, the role ensures data quality, analysis and use for decision‑making across partners and government stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and periodically update the country MEL plan, indicator reference sheets and data collection tools aligned with the global MEL framework.
- Lead data collection, entry, cleaning, analysis and reporting for performance and contextual indicators.
- Conduct routine data quality assessments, verification and review meetings.
- Coordinate with Ministry of Health, Christian Health Associations, Faith‑based Organizations and implementing partners to align MEL activities with national HMIS/DHIS2.
- Prepare donor and government reports, dashboards, narratives and learning products.
- Supervise MEL staff and build MEL capacity of sub‑partners.
Required profile
- Relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning within health or humanitarian programs.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with government ministries, NGOs and donor agencies.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in data quality assurance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
