Monitoring and Evaluation Lead

About the role

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Lead will design, implement, and continuously improve the program’s M&E framework. This role ensures rigorous tracking of performance, results, and impact for a global organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable children in challenging environments. The lead will work closely with program teams, partners, and donors to translate data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, adapt, and oversee comprehensive M&E plans and frameworks aligned with program objectives.
• Monitor program performance on a regular basis, guaranteeing data quality, completeness, and accuracy across all reporting streams.
• Lead capacity‑building initiatives, providing training and technical assistance in M&E methods to partners and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare, synthesize, and present performance reports, dashboards, and visualizations for senior management, donors, and external partners.
• Ensure full compliance with PEPFAR reporting requirements, including MER indicators, and coordinate timely submissions.
• Collaborate with data management teams to integrate monitoring data into existing information systems.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in public health, statistics, epidemiology, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in M&E roles within public health or humanitarian programs.
• Demonstrated familiarity with PEPFAR’s MER indicators, reporting cycles, and donor compliance standards.
• Proven ability to work in multi‑cultural, multi‑disciplinary environments and manage stakeholder expectations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Stata, R).
