Pastry Chef

About the role

The Pastry Chef will lead the creation of a wide variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts for our hotel guests. You will ensure every baked good meets the highest quality standards while contributing to a memorable hospitality experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prepare, and bake a diverse range of pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts.
• Decorate finished products with icings, toppings, and artistic elements for attractive presentation.
• Develop seasonal and custom recipes based on trends and guest preferences.
• Monitor ingredient stocks, place orders, and manage inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of work areas, utensils, and equipment.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Supervise and train junior pastry staff when applicable.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, baker, or in a similar role.
• Certification in baking or pastry arts is preferred.
• Deep knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food‑safety standards.
• Creativity, strong attention to detail, and excellent time‑management skills.
• Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
