Technical Manager – Faith and Community Initiative (FCI)

About the role

The Technical Manager will provide in‑country technical direction for the Faith and Community Initiative (FCI) in Sierra Leone. Working closely with the Ministry of Health and World Vision’s Global Management Team, you will ensure the program is technically sound, aligned with global standards, and integrated with national health policies.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the global technical strategy, standards, tools, and integrated service package within the Sierra Leone context.
• Oversee technical planning, implementation, and coordination of HIV, TB, malaria, maternal and child health, and nutrition services across government, Christian Health Associations, and other faith‑based facilities.
• Ensure compliance with FCI global policies, Ministry of Health guidelines, and donor requirements.
• Provide technical leadership to maintain high‑quality service delivery, strengthen referral systems, and promote continuity of care.
• Manage technical relationships with the Ministry of Health, District Health Management Teams, and sub‑national health authorities.
• Represent FCI in national and sub‑national technical forums and coordinate with the U.S. Embassy.

Required profile

• Proven experience directing health‑related technical programs in low‑resource settings.
• Familiarity with national health policies and guidelines in Sierra Leone.
• Experience working with government health systems, faith‑based organizations, and donor agencies.
• Ability to adapt global technical designs to local contexts.
