About the role
The Business Support Manager will work under the Project Coordinator to mentor and coach families receiving micro‑finance loans, ensuring sustainable business development and full loan repayment. The role also promotes education, child rights and protection within the communities served by Street Child of Sierra Leone.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and support eligible clients in applying for business loans according to selection criteria.
- Collect loan repayments on schedule and monitor compliance with loan contracts.
- Engage community stakeholders to facilitate loan repayment and business growth.
- Maintain comprehensive case files and collect required data for each client.
- Provide socio‑educational support to address stigma and barriers to school enrolment.
- Adhere to safeguarding and child‑protection policies, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Deliver business coaching, assist in developing individual business plans, and track business progress.
Required profile
- Experience working directly with clients, families and community leaders in a development or micro‑finance context.
- Ability to manage case documentation and data collection.
- Strong commitment to child protection and safeguarding standards.
- Capacity to work under the supervision of a Project Coordinator.
