About the role
The Business Support Manager will work under the Project Coordinator to help vulnerable families access micro‑finance loans, develop sustainable businesses and ensure children stay in school. The role combines loan administration, community engagement and business coaching across several districts in Sierra Leone.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and support eligible clients in applying for business loans according to selection criteria.
- Collect loan repayments on schedule and monitor repayment compliance.
- Engage community leaders and stakeholders to facilitate loan repayment and business development.
- Maintain accurate case files and collect required data for each client.
- Provide socio‑educational support to families to overcome stigma and barriers to education.
- Adhere to safeguarding and child‑protection policies, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Deliver business coaching, help create individual business plans and track progress.
Required profile
- Experience in community‑based micro‑finance or business development.
- Ability to mentor and coach caregivers in sustainable business practices.
- Strong understanding of child rights, education promotion and safeguarding policies.
- Excellent communication skills for working with families, community leaders and project staff.
