Temple Security Supervisor

About the role

The Temple Security Supervisor ensures that temple ordinances are recorded accurately and that the environment remains safe, secure, and uplifting for all patrons. Working full‑time on‑site, you will lead a team of security personnel to protect the sacred and temporal aspects of the temple.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and ancillary structures during assigned shifts.
• Respond to life‑threatening security incidents, fire, medical emergencies, and provide first aid/CPR as needed.
• Manage disruptive or aggressive individuals using authorized intervention techniques, including restraint and handcuffing.
• Supervise, mentor, train, and evaluate security staff and contracted officers.
• Maintain compliance with local laws, security policies, and operational standards.
• Collaborate with law‑enforcement agencies and emergency services.
• Perform security checks of doors, windows, gates, and access points; report vulnerabilities.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain records of unusual activities.
• Work flexible schedules and request additional assistance when required.

Required profile

• Current Temple Recommend or eligibility to obtain and maintain one.
• Proven ability to lead a security team in high‑pressure situations.
• Strong judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site full‑time and adapt to variable shifts.

Required skills

• Operation of electronic alarm systems and surveillance equipment.
• First aid and CPR certification.
