Resource Mobilization Specialist

About the role

Partners In Health is seeking a Resource Mobilization Specialist to support its health‑system strengthening work in Sierra Leone. Based in Freetown with regular travel to field sites, the specialist will help diversify and grow funding to advance PIH’s strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business development processes, including identification of funding opportunities and proposal development.
• Coordinate donor engagement, stewardship, and reporting across multiple programmes.
• Collaborate with clinical, programmatic, M&E, finance, compliance and global teams to design compelling project concepts.
• Maintain a pipeline of prospective donors and manage the full grant lifecycle.
• Support partner relations and ensure alignment with Ministry of Health and Sanitation priorities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in resource mobilization, fundraising, or grant writing within the health sector.
• Strong understanding of donor landscapes and development of funding proposals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and travel to remote locations.
