Agent Operations Regional Lead

About the role

We are looking for an Agent Operations Regional Lead to drive the growth and performance of Wave’s agent network in Sierra Leone. Reporting to the Agent Operations Lead, you will oversee acquisition, training, compliance and day‑to‑day management of agents across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate Agent Openers to identify and secure new agent locations following selection criteria and legal requirements.
• Ensure all agents sign valid contracts, receive comprehensive training on products, KYC, AML/CTF and operational procedures, and are equipped with branding and supplies.
• Monitor cash and e‑value availability at agents in partnership with Liquidity and Agent Quality teams.
• Track agent performance against targets, generate reports, and address emerging issues.
• Identify under‑performing agents for closure, recover Wave equipment, and remove branding material.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the regional agent network, handling product inquiries and operational support.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, regulatory guidelines and cost‑management objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing field operations or agent networks, preferably in fintech or financial services.
• Strong understanding of KYC, AML/CTF regulations and contract compliance.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to relocate within Sierra Leone and travel across the region.
