Business Support Manager

About the role

The Business Support Manager will work under the supervision of the Project Coordinator to help vulnerable families in Sierra Leone develop sustainable businesses and repay micro‑finance loans. The role also promotes education, child rights and protection within the communities served.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and support clients applying for business loans according to selection criteria.
• Collect loan repayments on schedule and ensure compliance with loan contracts.
• Engage community stakeholders to facilitate loan repayment and business development.
• Maintain detailed case files and collect required data for each client.
• Provide socio‑educational support to families to overcome stigma and barriers to school attendance.
• Deliver business coaching, help create individual business plans, and monitor business progress.
• Adhere to safeguarding and child‑protection policies, reporting any concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Experience working directly with clients, families and community leaders in a development or micro‑finance context.
• Ability to manage case files, collect data and monitor loan repayment.
• Commitment to child protection and safeguarding standards.
• Strong communication skills for community engagement and education advocacy.
