Finance Manager – Sierra Leone

About the role

As Finance Manager you will be based in OBT’s Sierra Leone office, leading the company’s financial operations across its international shipping and logistics business. You will ensure accurate reporting, robust controls and provide strategic financial insight to support growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, delivering performance reporting.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, treasury activities, banking relationships and foreign‑exchange exposure.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/OHADA standards, tax regulations and internal policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors and regulators.
• Provide financial insights to operational and commercial teams to improve profitability and cost control.
• Strengthen internal controls, financial processes and reporting systems.
• Build, lead and develop the finance team, setting objectives and supporting professional growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience in finance or accounting, preferably in logistics, shipping or multi‑entity international businesses.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Proven ability to work independently, meet deadlines and manage a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
