Operations Coordinator

About the role

The Operations Coordinator will support the Processing Operations Superintendent in ensuring smooth day‑to‑day activities at the Baomahun gold processing plant. This role is pivotal for maintaining continuous production, accurate reporting and adherence to safety and operational procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate shift handovers and communication between operating crews to maintain plant continuity.
• Assist in scheduling shift rosters and managing manning levels.
• Monitor plant operating parameters and work with shift supervisors to resolve issues promptly.
• Support induction, on‑the‑job coaching and training activities for new operators.
• Prepare production reports, shift logs and maintain accurate operational records.
• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Lock Out/Tag Out and Zero Harm principles.
• Collaborate with Metallurgy, Maintenance, Reliability Engineers, Supply Chain and HSE departments.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Certificate in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or related field, or equivalent plant experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience in gold processing plant operations.
• Experience coordinating shift‑based teams (desirable).
• Previous involvement in a Greenfield mining project (desirable).
