Analyst – Financial Services Strategy (Payments)

About the role

The Analyst will support the design, implementation and evaluation of digital payment strategies across emerging markets. Working within Genesis Analytics' Payments Service Line, you will apply strong analytical abilities to generate research, analyse data and help shape high‑quality strategic and policy outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research, diagnostics and benchmarking to inform payment roadmaps.
• Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities for financial inclusion.
• Support the development of data‑driven payment and DFS strategies aligned with country‑specific priorities.
• Assist in program management activities, including multi‑stakeholder coordination and implementation monitoring.
• Contribute to policy and regulatory analysis that promotes competition, interoperability and consumer protection.

Required profile

• Entry‑level or junior professional with a strong interest in digital payments and financial services.
• Excellent analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
• Motivation to contribute to inclusive financial ecosystems in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
