Biomedical Technician – Kailahun District

About the role
Partners In Health (PIH) is seeking a Sierra Leone‑based Biomedical Technician to support the Quality Essential Health Services and Systems Support Project (QEHSSSP) in Kailahun District. The role involves installing, testing, calibrating and repairing biomedical equipment across health facilities, and training users to ensure reliable operation of medical devices.
Key responsibilities
- Install, test, calibrate and repair a range of biomedical equipment in health centers and referral hospitals.
- Provide on‑site training to health workers on proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Travel frequently to Jojoima town and other locations within Kailahun District to support multiple facilities.
- Report to the Biomedical Engineer/District Clinical Lead on equipment status and maintenance needs.
Required profile
- Based in Sierra Leone and able to travel regularly within Kailahun District.
- Technical background in biomedical or medical equipment maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in field settings.
