EdTech Officer – National Volunteer

About the role
The EdTech Officer will act as a catalyst for integrating educational technology within schools across Sierra Leone. Working closely with school leaders and teachers, you will help embed digital tools into daily teaching practice and support continuous learning improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with school staff to plan and implement EdTech solutions.
- Deliver contextualised training and capacity‑building sessions for teachers.
- Collect and analyse implementation data and feedback to inform system‑wide learning.
- Identify on‑ground challenges and opportunities, reporting them to VSO partners.
- Support schools and communities in adopting innovative, collaborative approaches to education.
Required profile
- Background in education, community development, social sciences or related fields.
- Hands‑on experience with NGO or community‑based programmes focused on early learning, literacy, numeracy, EdTech or ICT.
- Confidence using digital learning tools and facilitating training.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving and data‑management abilities.
- Commitment to volunteerism, cultural sensitivity and improving education outcomes in Sierra Leone.
Required skills
- Proficiency with digital learning platforms and basic IT tools.
- Data collection and management skills.
