Senior Supply Chain Associate

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Associate to support its Sierra Leone programme, which is funded by the European Union. The role focuses on delivering quality goods and services to vulnerable returned migrants, ensuring timely and cost‑effective procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement activities, including reviewing purchase requests, organizing bidding processes, and monitoring purchase orders through delivery and payment.
• Assist supervisors with complex, high‑value purchases and develop procurement plans to optimise purchasing power.
• Participate in negotiations of terms and conditions, and resolve delivery issues.
• Provide technical guidance to staff on specifications, procurement instructions, and procedures.
• Support the implementation of supply‑chain objectives in line with project goals.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in procurement or supply‑chain management, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under supervision of the Officer‑In‑Charge and Resource Management Officer.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with suppliers and internal teams.
