Technical Experts – Environmental, Social, Resettlement & OHS Leads (18‑month)

About the role

DAI is seeking senior technical experts to support the Management Oversight, Social and Environmental Support (MOSES) contract for the MCC‑funded electricity sector compact in Sierra Leone. The positions are 18‑month fixed‑term assignments based in Freetown, with possible extensions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams of environmental, social, resettlement, or occupational health and safety specialists.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of environmental and social oversight functions.
• Prepare and review Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs) and Land Resettlement Plans (LRPs), ensuring compliance.
• Develop and maintain Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Management Plans and review contractor OHS sub‑plans.
• Coordinate training, risk management, and reporting for all assigned domains.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing large‑scale infrastructure projects in low‑income contexts.
• Strong background in environmental, social, or occupational health and safety management.
• Familiarity with MCC or similar development financing frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
