Finance and Compliance Coordinator

About the role

The Finance and Compliance Coordinator ensures the Country Office’s accounting, financial reporting and compliance processes are accurate, timely and aligned with AVSI procedures, donor requirements and local regulations. The role supervises the use of the NAVISION accounting system, coordinates financial closing, and supports audits to guarantee data integrity and informed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the correct and timely use of the NAVISION accounting system, validate entries and ensure data integrity.
• Review accounting entries, allocations and provide technical guidance to accountants.
• Coordinate the preparation of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and donor financial reports.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances and potential risks.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of donor requirements, AVSI internal procedures and applicable regulations.
• Support internal and external audits, provide required documentation and follow up on audit recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with donor compliance and internal procedural standards.
• Ability to supervise and guide accounting staff.
• Experience coordinating financial closing and audit processes.
