Finance and Compliance Coordinator (National Position)

About the role

We are looking for a Finance and Compliance Coordinator to oversee our national accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting and maintain compliance with donor and internal requirements. The role will act as a key liaison between project teams, auditors and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the use and optimisation of the NAVISION accounting system, validate transactions and ensure data integrity.
• Coordinate the preparation of income statements, balance sheets, cash‑flow statements and donor financial reports, analysing variances and trends.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of donor requirements and internal procedures, review processes for compliance issues and support audit activities.
• Lead monthly, semi‑annual and annual closing processes, review reconciliations of bank, payable and receivable accounts, and monitor cash‑flow and liquidity needs.
• Prepare project fund requests and identify accounting discrepancies for timely resolution.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency of financial and administrative operations.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Experience with accounting/ERP software and handling donor‑funded projects.
