Finance and Compliance Coordinator (National Position)

About the role

The Finance and Compliance Coordinator ensures the integrity of financial data, supports accurate reporting, and guarantees compliance with donor and internal requirements across the organization. This national position oversees accounting software, financial reporting, audit processes, and continuous improvement of financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the use and optimisation of the NAVISION accounting system, validate transactions, and provide technical guidance to accountants.
• Coordinate the preparation of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and donor financial reports, analysing trends and variances.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of donor requirements, AVSI procedures, and relevant regulations; support internal and external audits.
• Lead monthly, semi‑annual and annual closing processes, reconcile bank, payable and receivable accounts, and monitor cash‑flow and liquidity needs.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency in financial and administrative operations.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software, preferably NAVISION.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project coordinators, auditors and senior management.
