AC/HVAC Technician (2 positions)

About the role

The Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician will ensure proper installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems at the Maternal Center of Excellence and Koidu Government Hospital. This role supports a safe, comfortable, and energy‑efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Install split, central, and VRF HVAC systems according to manufacturer specifications and guidance from the Head of Maintenance.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including cleaning, filter replacement, and calibration of air handling units.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions using test equipment and hand tools; execute repairs promptly.
• Prepare material and consumable lists, submit requisitions, and coordinate restocking.
• Collaborate with electrical and biomedical teams to ensure integrated functionality of HVAC, medical gas, and related equipment.
• Provide end‑user support, explaining system operation and best practices.
• Advise on system upgrades and assist the Head of Maintenance with improvement plans.
• Work extended, odd, and night shifts as required.

Required profile

• Relevant HVAC certification or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including night shifts.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to communicate technical information clearly.
