About the role
The Primary Health Care Clinical Mentor oversees all clinical trainings and mentorship activities across Partners In Health facilities in Kono district. Working with the PHC clinical leadership team, the mentor coaches clinicians in diagnosis, prevention and management of patients, ensuring high‑quality care and adherence to clinical standards.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to medical problems, conduct history taking, investigations, diagnosis, treatment and appropriate referral.
- Develop and track a work plan for training and mentorship activities across PHU and CHC sites.
- Create clinical training tools, guidelines and protocols in collaboration with clinical leadership.
- Collect and monitor data quality, perform quality‑of‑care audits and share findings with the team.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Health Information Systems team to identify quality‑improvement opportunities.
Required profile
- Medical doctor (MB.ChB) or Clinical Officer with completed housemanship/internship.
- At least two years of clinical practice in a low‑resource health‑care setting.
- Experience in HIV/TB and tropical medicine management preferred.
- Basic computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and no dual employment.
- Commitment to safeguarding and prevention of sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment.
