Infrastructure Project Manager – Healthcare & WASH Projects

About the role

The Infrastructure Project Manager will lead the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of healthcare facilities and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) systems in Kono District, Sierra Leone. Reporting to the Infrastructure Lead, the role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet safety, quality, and infection‑prevention standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for the full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies through handover and operational sustainability.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams—including architects, civil, structural, MEP, biomedical, and environmental health specialists—to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
• Manage procurement, construction supervision, testing, commissioning, and quality assurance activities.
• Serve as primary liaison with PIH program teams, Ministry of Health officials, consultants, contractors, donors, and community stakeholders.
• Oversee budget management, reporting, and compliance with donor requirements and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience leading healthcare infrastructure or large‑scale construction projects, preferably in low‑resource settings.
• Strong ability to mentor and supervise project staff, fostering technical capacity and professional growth.
