Janitor – Warehouse

About the role

The Janitor will support the Operations department at the Dorma Distribution Centre by maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for staff and visitors. Working under the supervision of the Warehouse Officer, the role focuses on daily cleaning, disinfection, and inventory management of hygiene supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of aisles, offices, docking areas, shelves, restrooms, and corridors according to PIH/MOHS standards.
• Disinfect surfaces and equipment using approved chemicals and follow IPC protocols.
• Collect and dispose of waste, empty dustbins regularly, and ensure proper waste handling.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, preparing orders for ongoing needs.
• Report any repair or maintenance issues related to hygiene to the Warehouse Officer.
• Raise awareness among staff and visitors about proper use of water points, latrines, and hand‑washing facilities.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental objectives and maintain a positive work environment.

Required profile

• Technical Certificate, preferably in Hygiene and Sanitation (WASSCE is an advantage).
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a cleaning or janitorial role.
• Ability to follow detailed hygiene and safety protocols.
