Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator will ensure safe, timely and cost‑effective movement of raw materials and finished products for a palm oil refinery. You will manage inbound and outbound logistics, work with transport partners and maintain accurate documentation while upholding regulatory, quality and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily/weekly vehicle movements for agri‑commodities, aligning with production and tank capacities.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound CPO/CPKO shipments with fleet managers and external vendors.
• Resolve logistical issues, support procurement targets and enforce anti‑theft procedures.
• Oversee weighbridge operations, yard management, loading/unloading of bulk tankers and containers.
• Monitor tank farm levels, reconcile physical vs. system inventories and assist with cycle counts.
• Source, negotiate and manage transport contracts, rate cards and performance reviews.
• Maintain delivery notes, weight tickets and ERP transaction records.
• Implement journey management, route risk assessments and support spill response and incident reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3‑5+ years logistics experience in edible oils, agri‑commodities, FMCG or refining, preferably in West Africa.
• Strong knowledge of West African transport regulations and liquid bulk handling.
• Familiarity with tank farms, weighbridge operations and quality sampling.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CILT, APICS CSCP/CLTD, RSPO eTrace/ISCC) are an advantage.
• Fluent English.
