Operations Director – Sierra Leone

About the role

Concern Worldwide is seeking an Operations Director to lead and coordinate all operational functions for its programme in Sierra Leone. Reporting to the Country Director, you will ensure effective HR, logistics, IT, administration and security support for both development and emergency response activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership within the Country Management Team.
• Coordinate and manage HR, logistics, IT, administration and security operations.
• Develop and implement the Country Strategic Plan and related frameworks (PEER, SMP, Equality Action Plan).
• Produce strategic analysis and plans to strengthen control, compliance and operational efficiency.
• Represent Concern with external stakeholders as required.

Required profile

• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time to field offices.
• Experience in managing operations in a development and emergency context.
• Strong strategic planning and decision‑making skills.
• Proven capability to lead cross‑functional teams and liaise with donors and partners.
