Senior Manager – Faith and Community Initiative (Project Lead)

About the role

World Vision is seeking a senior manager to lead the Faith and Community Initiative (FCI) in Sierra Leone. The role provides overall in‑country leadership, ensuring high‑quality, timely and compliant delivery of the FCI program in line with the global strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management of the FCI country program, achieving goals, objectives and results within budget and schedule.
• Lead country‑level planning, adapting global guidelines to the local context and translating them into work plans and performance targets.
• Implement global standards, technical standards, best practices and donor guidelines at country level.
• Maintain the 80/20 efficiency commitment and drive transition and sustainability toward government and faith‑based ownership.
• Serve as the principal point of contact with the U.S. Embassy, host‑government ministries, Christian Health Association, faith‑based organizations and other partners.
• Oversee the FCI budget, supervise the country team and coordinate with the FCI Technical Manager and MEL Manager for technical depth.

Required profile

• Significant experience in senior program management within integrated health programmes (HIV, TB, malaria, MCH, nutrition) or comparable sectors.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and manage relationships with government, donors and faith‑based partners.
• Strong understanding of transition planning and government absorption of programme activities.
• Commitment to World Vision’s mission, values and Christian faith‑based approach.

Required skills

• Integrated health programming knowledge (HIV, TB, malaria, MCH, nutrition).
• Budget management and financial oversight.
• Stakeholder engagement with embassies, ministries and faith‑based networks.
